Gentinetta's 18 points and 9 rebounds give her Player of the Week award

24-year old Candela Gentinetta (181-SF-2001) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Obras Basket Buenos Aires and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
She had the game-high 18 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Obras in her team's victory, helping them to crush Union Florida (#5, 7-12) with 22-point margin 86-64. It allowed Obras to take over top position in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. Obras have a solid 15-3 record. In the team's last game Gentinetta had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Obras, through which she has constantly improved. Gentinetta has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 8.4rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Ana Britez (174-C-2002) of Club Union Florida. She is Paraguayan center in her first season at Union Florida. In the last game Britez recorded an impressive double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Union Florida to another comfortable win 81-62 over slightly lower-ranked Independiente (#7, 5-13) being unquestionably team leader. Union Florida's 5th position in South has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-12 record. Britez is a newcomer at Union Florida and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Laila Raviolo (180-G-2000, agency: BIG) of Independiente de Neuquen (#7). Raviolo showcased her all-around game by recording 17 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Raviolo's great performance the Independiente lost 62-81 to slightly higher-ranked Union Florida (#5, 7-12). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Raviolo has individually a great season in Argentina. After 16 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.8ppg (5th best) and assists with 3.1apg (9th best).
