Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Obras as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Obras smashed 7th ranked Independiente in Buenos Aires 82-55. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Florencia Chagas (180-2001) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Agostina Burani (186-1991) helped adding 6 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Laila Raviolo (180-2000, agency: BIG) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Obras (15-3) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Independiente keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. Independiente will play next round against Union Florida trying to get back on the winning streak. Obras will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Ferro. It will be extra interesting game as Ferro is their local rival from Buenos Aires.
The game between Top Four teams took place in James Craik. Second ranked host Chanares (15-4) defeated 4th placed San Jose (11-8) 74-60. It was an exceptional evening for forward Stefania Lucero (172-1993, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 6 rebounds. Regina Carosio accounted for 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Natacha Perez (176-1991) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for San Jose in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Chanares. They maintain second place with 15-4 record having just two points less than leader Obras. San Jose lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Chanares will play against Quimsa (#5) in Santiado del Estero in the next round. San Jose will play against Avellaneda and hopes to get back on the winning track.
LaLiga Femenina top team - Instituto (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Gorriones (8-11) in Cordoba 68-46. The best player for the winners was Julieta Sienra who scored 18 points. Instituto's coach Ignacio Correas felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Joaquina Gregorio produced 17 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Instituto. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Gorriones at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Instituto will meet at home Hindu (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
