Eric Flor claims Argentinian La Liga Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced International Shooting guard Eric Flor (190-SG-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Club Atletico Platense Florida and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 32-year old shooting guard had the game-high 31 points adding four rebounds and nine assists for Platense in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Independ.O. (#8, 7-5) 86-84. Thanks to this victory Platense moved-up to the 11th position in Argentinian La Liga. Platense is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-5 record. In the team's last game Flor had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He has many years of experience at Platense, through which he has constantly improved. Flor has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.3ppg), assists (2nd best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 53.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Ty Sabin (190-G-1994) of Obras Basket Buenos Aires. Sabin impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Obras cruised to a 95-86 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Penarol (#4, 8-6). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Obras consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 8-4 record is not bad at all. Sabin is a newcomer at Obras and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.2ppg (#1).

The third best performed player last round was another Platense's star - American Derrick Woods (203-F-1996, agency: SLN). Woods scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Club Atletico Platense Florida, helping his team with a 89-67 easy win against Regatas (6-5). Platense needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 5 lost games. Woods has a great season in Argentina. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.8ppg (7th best).
