Important game to mention about took place in San Miguel de Tucuman. Ninth ranked Estudiantes T. (6-5) saved a 3-point victory at home edging second-ranked Salta Basket (7-3) 69-66 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Salta Basket. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Joe Hampton who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Wilfredo Alvarez responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Estudiantes T. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Salta Basket at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Santa Paula and GELP. Estudiantes T. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Salta Basket will play on the road against Independiente in Santiago del Estero and hopes to get back on the winning track.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 20: C.Entrerriano beat Ciclista on the road 92-87. GELP won against Pergamino on its own court 79-72. Rivadavia unfortunately lost to Hindu in Cordoba 87-102.
The most impressive performance of 20th round was 22 points and 18 rebounds by Zondrick Garrett of Rivadavia.



Ciclista - C.Entrerriano 87-92

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked C.Entrerriano (7-5) beat 11th ranked Ciclista (4-7) in Junin 92-87 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for C.Entrerriano especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The winners were led by Nicolas Reynoso who scored that evening 25 points and 7 rebounds and Cristian Perez supported him with 19 points. Even 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals by Valentin Costa (182-1999, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Ciclista. Naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (205-1981) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Four Ciclista players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. C.Entrerriano maintains fourth position with 7-5 record. Loser Ciclista keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. C.Entrerriano will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ciclista will play against Dep Viedma (#10) in Rio Negro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Four GELP players scored in double figures. GELP's coach Fabian Renda used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points and 7 rebounds by Canadian power forward Emanual Shepherd (203-1995, college: Southern) did not help to save the game for Pergamino. Naturalized American Johnatan Slider (192-1987) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. GELP moved-up to second place, which they share with Santa Paula and Salta Basket. Loser Pergamino dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. GELP will meet at home Dep Norte (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Hindu (4-6) won against higher ranked Rivadavia (5-5) in Cordoba 102-87 on Saturday. Hindu made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Santiago Bruno who scored that evening 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Carlos Buemo (194-1996) supported him with 28 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Hindu's coach Daniel Beltramo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
