Cooper's 30-point game gives him Player of the Week award

33-year old American guard Thomas Cooper (196-G-1992) had a great game in the last round for Racing de Chivilcoy and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had the game-high 30 points adding two rebounds and two assists for Racing Ch. in his team's victory, helping them to crush La Union (#2, 10-5) with 21-point margin 87-66. Racing Ch. maintains the 16th position in Argentinian league. Racing Ch. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-8 record. In the team's last game Cooper had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Racing Ch.'s top player in his first season with the team. University of Calgary graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cooper is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.9ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Marcos Chacon (194-F/G-2003) of Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia. He is Cuban swingman in his 4th season at Gimnasia. In the last game Chacon recorded an impressive 29 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Gimnasia lost that game 80-87 to the higher-ranked Obera (#3, 9-4). This loss caused Gimnasia to drop to 12th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Chacon is one of the most experienced players at Gimnasia and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Nakye Sanders (202-F-1997) of Atenas Cordoba (#18). Sanders scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Sanders' great performance the Atenas lost 67-87 to the higher-ranked Penarol (#4, 9-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Atenas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Sanders has a very solid season. In 16 games in Argentina he scored 10.1ppg. He also has 6.8rpg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 67.7%.
