The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Ferro (10-2) in Buenos Aires on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by thirteenth ranked Quimsa (6-6) 92-89. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Ferro. They outrebounded Ferro 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Ferro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Leonardo Lema (203-1998) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and American Tyren Johnson (202-1988, college: Louisiana) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. point guard Emiliano Lezcano (187-2001) responded with 20 points. Quimsa maintains thirteenth position with 6-6 record. Ferro at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Quimsa are looking forward to face higher ranked Gimnasia (#12) in Comodoro Rivadavia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ferro will play at home against Regatas (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Buenos Aires was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Obera (9-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Boca Juniors (8-7). Obera defeated Boca Juniors 80-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Boca Juniors. The winners were led by Agustin Brocal (191-1997) who scored that evening 26 points and 8 rebounds and Daviyon Draper supported him with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds by the former international Leonardo Lema (203-1998) did not help to save the game for Boca Juniors. Boca Juniors' coach Gonzalo Perez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Obera have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Defending champion Boca Juniors dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Sixteenth-ranked Racing Ch. (4-8) gave a tough game to tenth ranked Independ.O. (8-5) in Olivia on Wednesday. Independ.O. managed to secure only two-point victory 88-86. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Rolando Vallejos who scored 25 points. Deion McClenton produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Independ.O. moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Racing Ch. keeps the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Racing Ch. will play against Atenas (#18) in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 20: Atenas lost to Platense on the opponent's court 81-86. San Lorenzo was outscored by Regatas in a home game 70-92. Instituto managed to beat Union on the road 87-80.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 20 points and 7 rebounds by Tomas Monacchi of Instituto.

Platense - Atenas 86-81

Very expected game in Florida where 18th ranked Atenas (4-12) was defeated by eleventh ranked Platense (7-5) 86-81 on Monday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Platense looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Derrick Woods (203-1996, college: St.Peter's, agency: SLN) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Franco Smaniotti (194-2000) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Carlos Buendia (177-1995) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Platense moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Regatas and San Martin. Atenas lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with 12 games lost. Platense will meet Olimpico (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Atenas will play against Racing Ch. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
