Argentinian La Liga round 20 best performance: Leonardo Lema (by Hoops Agents)

International Leonardo Lema (203-SF-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Quimsa Santiago del Estero, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, nine rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Ferro (#1, 10-3) 92-89. Quimsa maintains the 13th position in Argentinian La Liga. Quimsa is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-7 record. In the team's last game Lema had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Quimsa's top player in his first season with the team. Leonardo Lema has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 7.9rpg) and averages impressive 56.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was American Deion McClenton (208-C) of Racing de Chivilcoy. McClenton had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Derrick Woods (203-F-1996, agency: SLN) of Club Atletico Platense Florida (#12). Woods scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Platense, leading his team to a 86-81 win against the lower-ranked Atenas (#18, 4-12). Platense needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Woods has a great season in Argentina. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.3ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 6.9rpg (9th best).
