Santino Mazzucchelli claims Argentinian LDD Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Santino Mazzucchelli (196-F-2004) had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Atletico Platense Florida and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 21-year old forward had a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Olimpico (#19, 1-12) with 43-point margin 112-69. Platense is placed at 6th position in Argentinian LDD. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Platense will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game Mazzucchelli had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He has many years of experience at Platense, through which he has constantly improved. Mazzucchelli has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.7ppg), rebounds (5th best: 9.7rpg) and averages solid 2.9spg and 57.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Argentinian Tomas Delia) of Racing de Chivilcoy. Delia impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Racing Ch. to another comfortable win 79-65 over the lower-ranked Atenas (#18, 3-14) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Racing Ch. dropped in the standings to 13th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. Delia is a newcomer at Racing Ch. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#9). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Ecuadorian Carlos Hurtado (212-F-2006) of Independiente de Oliva (#4). Hurtado scored 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Independ.O., leading his team to a 74-72 win against the lower-ranked Penarol (#14, 5-11). Independ.O. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 3 lost games. Hurtado has a great season in Argentina. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 13.4rpg (#1 in league).
