Ecuadorian Abraham Barahona (195-SF-2003) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Provincial de Rosario, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (20 points, five rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Dep Viedma (#9, 6-6) with 20-point margin 93-73. It allowed Provincial to take over top position in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. Provincial have a solid 11-2 record. Barahona turned to be Provincial's top player in his first season with the team. Abraham Barahona averages this season 15.3ppg and 6.9rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Kobe Julien (198-F-1999) of Independiente BBC de Santiago del Estero. Julien had a very good evening with 28 points and 3 rebounds. Of course he led Independiente to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Amancay (#4, 8-6) 102-76. This victory allowed Independiente to move up to 10th position in Conferencia Norte. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Julien is a newcomer at Independiente, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Independiente's star - guard Andres Lugli (188-PG-1995). Lugli showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Independiente BBC de Santiago del Estero, helping his team with a 102-76 easy win against the higher-ranked Amancay (#4, 8-6). The chances of Independiente ranking at the top of Conferencia Norte, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Lugli could help Independiente to bring them higher in the standings. Lugli has a very solid season. In 5 games in Argentina he scored 12.8ppg.
