Argentinian La Liga round 25 best performance: Gonzalo Bressan (by Hoops Agents)

Naturalized Italian Center Gonzalo Bressan (205-C-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat San Lorenzo (#16, 5-11) 84-74. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Olimpico maintains the 15th position in Argentinian La Liga. Olimpico is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-11 record. In the team's last game Bressan had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Gonzalo Bressan averages this season 8.3ppg and 5.6rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international center Agustin Caffaro (211-C-1995) of Independiente de Oliva. Caffaro had a very good evening with 20 points and 4 rebounds. Of course Independ.O. cruised to a 83-75 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Olimpico (#15, 6-11). This victory allowed Independ.O. to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Caffaro is a newcomer at Independ.O., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 11.0ppg (#4). He also registered 5.1 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international Leonardo Lema (203-SF-1998) of Quimsa Santiago del Estero (#9). Lema scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Quimsa, leading his team to a 92-61 easy win against the lower-ranked San Lorenzo (#16, 5-11). Quimsa needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 7 lost games. Lema has a great season in Argentina. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.2rpg (3rd best).
