Experienced American Will Vorhees (203-F-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for Obera Tennis Club and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 30-year old forward had the game-high 27 points adding five rebounds for Obera in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Platense (#15, 7-11) with 38-point margin 111-73. Obera is placed at 4th position in Argentinian La Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Obera will need more victories to improve their 12-7 record. In the team's last game Vorhees had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Obera's top player in his first season with the team. Notre Dame College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Vorhees is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.3ppg) and averages solid 59.7% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Vorhees played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Manuel Rodriguez (203-SF-2002) of Racing de Chivilcoy. Rodriguez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Racing Ch. to edge the higher-ranked San Martin (#13, 8-9) by 4 points 90-86. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Racing Ch. dropped in the standings to second-to-the-bottom (18th) position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-14 record. Rodriguez is a newcomer at Racing Ch. and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was international Leonardo Lema (203-SF-1998) of Quimsa Santiago del Estero (#10). Lema scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Lema's great performance the Quimsa lost 77-78 to the higher-ranked La Union (#2, 13-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Quimsa needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 9 lost games. Lema has a great season in Argentina. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.4rpg (2nd best).
