Venezuelan Power forward Elian Centeno (200-PF-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Atletico Villa San Martin, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 30.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (20 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Las Heras (#16, 4-12) with 26-point margin 86-60. Villa S.Martin is placed at 6th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. Villa S.Martin is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-8 record. Centeno turned to be Villa S.Martin's top player in his first season with the team. Elian Centeno has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.5rpg) and averages impressive 1.8bpg and 67.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Alvaro Yarza of Union de Mar del Plata. Yarza had a very good evening with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The chances of El Talar not to end season at such low position in Conferencia Sur, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Verbauwede could try to bring El Talar's a little bit higher in the standings. Verbauwede has a very solid season. In 13 games in Argentina he scored 7.6ppg. He also has 7.8rpg and a FGP of 54.0%.
