Giovanni Pappalardi claims Argentinian LDD Hoops Agents weekly honour

Giovanni Pappalardi had an amazing evening in the last round for Club Atletico Platense Florida U22 team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
The had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Ferro (#7, 12-6) 75-66. Platense is placed at 6th position in Argentinian LDD. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Platense will need more victories to improve their 13-6 record. In the team's last game Pappalardi had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Platense, through which he has constantly improved. Giovanni Pappalardi averages this season 7.5ppg and 6.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Italian swingman Jeronimo Maidana (202-G/F-2004) of Atenas Cordoba. Maidana impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Atenas cruised to a 79-67 relatively comfortable win over Argentino (6-15). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Atenas managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 16th place. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Atenas managed to get this year. Maidana is well-known by Atenas fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Giovano Pertile of San Martin Corrientes U22 team (#12). Pertile scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of San Martin, leading his team to a 96-55 easy win against the lower-ranked Quimsa (#15, 6-13). The chances of San Martin ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Pertile could help San Martin to bring them higher in the standings. Pertile has a very solid season. In 16 games in Argentina he scored 6.4ppg. He also has 6.3rpg and a FGP of 55.9%.

10. Gian Rossi (185-PG-2005) of Penarol - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
