Burani's 16 points and 9 rebounds give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

34-year old power forward Agostina Burani (186-F/C-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Obras Basket Buenos Aires and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had the game-high 16 points adding nine rebounds and five assists for Obras in her team's victory, helping them to crush Independiente (#8, 3-2) with 22-point margin 84-62. It allowed Obras to take over top position in the Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Obras already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Burani had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Obras' top player in her first season with the team. Burani has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 10.8rpg) and averages solid 66.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Paula Santini (165-G-2006) of Tomas de Rocamora. She is a guard in her 5th season at Rocamora. In the last game Santini recorded an impressive 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course Rocamora cruised to a 74-63 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Lanus (1-4). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Rocamora managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 13th place. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Rocamora managed to get this year. Santini is one of the most experienced players at Rocamora and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Jacqueline Soto (1997, agency: BIG) of Gorriones (#11). Soto scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was a key player of Gorriones, leading her team to a 71-60 win against the higher-ranked Instituto (#7, 3-1). The chances of Gorriones ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Soto could help Gorriones to bring them higher in the standings. Soto has a great season in Argentina. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.0rpg (3rd best).
