Martina Torres (180-SF-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Bochas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds, while her team beat El Talar (#10, 3-3) 78-68. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Bochas is placed at 9th position in Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Bochas will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. She was a key player of Chanares, leading her team to a 88-67 easy win against the lower-ranked San Jose (#14, 1-4). Chanares started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Lucero turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Lucero has a great season in Argentina. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.6ppg (best scorer).
