Abeiro's 37-point game gives him La Liga Argentina Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

37-year old Juan Luis Abeiro (200-C/F-1988) had a very impressive game in the last round for Fusion Riojana and receives a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 35.
He had the game-high 37 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Riojana as his team lost the game against San Isidro (#2, 12-6) 87-97. Third place about best performers goes to forward Jeffrey Merchant (197-PF-1997) of Deportivo Viedma Rio Negro (#10). Merchant scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Dep Viedma, leading his team to a 83-66 easy win against the lower-ranked El Talar (#13, 6-11). The chances of Dep Viedma ranking at the top of Conferencia Sur, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Merchant could help Dep Viedma to bring them higher in the standings. Merchant has a very solid season. In 6 games in Argentina he scored 7.8ppg.
