Center Julian Lorca (207-C-2003) had an amazing evening in the last round for Villa Mitre de Bahia Blanca, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 36.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed El Talar (#13, 6-11) with 18-point margin 78-60. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in Conferencia Sur. Villa Mitre is placed at 12th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. Villa Mitre is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-10 record. Cardona has a very solid season. In 14 games in Argentina he scored 15.1ppg. He also has a FGP of 72.1% and 3PT: 44.7%.
