Nakye Sanders claims Argentinian La Liga weekly honour

American Nakye Sanders (202-F-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Atenas Cordoba and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 32.
The 28-year old forward had the game-high 14 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Atenas in his team's victory, helping them to beat San Martin (#12, 10-13) 90-76. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Atenas moved-up to the 17th position in Argentinian La Liga. Atenas is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-15 record. It's Sanders' second year at Atenas and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Towson University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sanders is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 7.0rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 68.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American shooting guard Brandon Robinson (196-SG-1989) of Quimsa Santiago del Estero. Robinson impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Quimsa to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Penarol (#10, 12-10) 89-66. This victory allowed Quimsa to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 13-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Robinson is well-known by Quimsa fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.1ppg (#8). He also registered 4.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Lucas Gargallo (196-G/F-1995) of San Martin Corrientes (#12). Gargallo scored 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Gargallo's great performance the San Martin lost 80-90 to the higher-ranked Independ.O. (#1, 15-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of San Martin ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gargallo could help San Martin to bring them higher in the standings. Gargallo has a very solid season. In 23 games in Argentina he scored 9.2ppg.
