Manuel Lambrisca claims Argentinian La Liga Argentina Hoops Agents weekly honour

Manuel Lambrisca (192-G/F-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Club Atletico San Isidro and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 40.
The 28-year old swingman had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Villa S.Martin (#8, 10-9) 75-73. It allowed San Isidro to consolidate first place in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. San Isidro has a very solid 15-7 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. It's Lambrisca's second year at San Isidro and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Manuel Lambrisca averages this season 13.7ppg and 6.8rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young power forward Pablo Alderete (203-PF-1993) of Quilmes Mar del Plata. Alderete impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Quilmes cruised to a 80-73 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Dep Norte (#17, 4-19). Quilmes' 5th position in Conferencia Sur has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 13-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Alderete is a newcomer at Quilmes and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was Cristian Amicucci (200-F/C-1985) of Independiente BBC de Santiago del Estero (#12). Amicucci scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Amicucci's great performance the Independiente lost 99-105 to the higher-ranked Salta Basket (#5, 13-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Independiente not to end season at such low position in Conferencia Norte, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Amicucci could try to bring Independiente's a little bit higher in the standings. Amicucci has individually a great season in Argentina. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 10.6rpg (3rd best).
