Meyinsse's 14 points and 8 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

37-year old American center Jerome Meyinsse (208-C-1988) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Quimsa Santiago del Estero and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 33.
He had the game-high 14 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Quimsa in his team's victory, helping them to beat Gimnasia (#9, 13-11) 92-82. Quimsa is placed at 7th position in Argentinian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Quimsa will need more victories to improve their 14-10 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Meyinsse as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Jerome Meyinsse averages this season 10.9ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Juan Cruz Oberto (200-F/C-1997) of Atenas Cordoba. He is a forward in his second season at Atenas. In the last game Oberto recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Atenas lost that game 79-93 to the higher-ranked Ferro (#4, 14-7). Atenas is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-16 record. Oberto is well-known at Atenas and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to center Deion McClenton (208-C) of Racing de Chivilcoy (#18). McClenton scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite McClenton's great performance the Racing Ch. lost 84-86 to the higher-ranked Boca Juniors (#13, 10-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. McClenton has individually a great season in Argentina. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.1rpg (6th best).
