Cao's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Luna Cao put on an amazing game in the last round for El Talar and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
She had a double-double of 16 points and 22 rebounds, while her team edged out Bigua (#14, 3-7) 80-79. El Talar is placed at 5th position in Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. El Talar will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. It's Cao's second year at El Talar and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Cao has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.7rpg) and averages solid 54.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Florencia Fernandez (189-C-1986) of league's second-best Ferrocarril Oeste Buenos Aires. She is international center in her 3rd season at Ferro. In the last game Fernandez recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Ferro lost that game 62-71 to the lower-ranked Independiente (#10, 6-6). Ferro managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. Her team's 8-3 record is not bad at all. Fernandez is one of the most experienced players at Ferro and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Laila Raviolo (180-G-2000, agency: BIG) of Independiente de Neuquen (#10). Raviolo showcased her all-around game by recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Independiente, leading her team to a 71-62 win against the higher-ranked Ferro (#2, 8-3). Independiente needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 6 lost games. Raviolo has a great season in Argentina. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.8ppg (6th best) and assists with 3.4apg (9th best).
