Argentinian LDD round 31 best performance: Carlos Hurtado (by Hoops Agents)

Ecuadorian Forward Carlos Hurtado (212-F-2006) had an amazing evening in the last round for Independiente de Oliva, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 31.
The 19-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Union (#14, 8-13) 92-79. Independ.O. is placed at 5th position in Argentinian LDD. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Independ.O. will need more victories to improve their 15-8 record. It's Hurtado's second year at Independ.O. and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Carlos Hurtado has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.0ppg) and averages impressive 1.2bpg and 69.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Agustin Ferrari (2005) of Union de Santa Fe. Ferrari had a very good evening with 28 points and 4 rebounds. Bad luck as Union lost that game 79-92 to the higher-ranked Independ.O. (#5, 15-8). Union managed to keep the same 14th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-13 record. Ferrari is one of the most experienced players at Union and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Giovanni Pappalardi of Club Atletico Platense Florida (#6). Pappalardi scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Platense, leading his team to a 83-67 easy win against the lower-ranked Olimpico (#19, 3-22). Platense needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 8 lost games. Pappalardi has a very solid season. In 20 games in Argentina he scored 8.7ppg. He also has 6.8rpg and a FGP of 51.3%.
