Argentinian LaLiga Femenina round 18 best performance: Malvina D'Agostino

Naturalized Colombian Center Malvina D'Agostino (184-C-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Hindu Club de Resistencia, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Quimsa (#10, 6-5) 71-61. Hindu is placed at 3rd position in Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hindu will need more victories to improve their 9-4 record. It was one of impressive evenings for D'Agostino as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Malvina D'Agostino has solid league stats. She leads league in rebounds with 12.9rpg. D'Agostino is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.5bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international power forward Agostina Burani (186-F/C-1991) of league's second-best Obras Basket Buenos Aires. Burani had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds. Of course she led Obras to another comfortable win 71-56 over slightly lower-ranked Ferro (#4, 9-5) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Obras consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 9 matches. Burani is a newcomer at Obras, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Martina Torres (180-SF-2002) of Independiente de Neuquen (#8). Torres showcased her all-around game by recording 16 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Independiente, leading her team to a 81-68 easy win against the lower-ranked Rocamora (#17, 1-9). Independiente needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 6 lost games. Torres has a very solid season. In 13 games in Argentina she scored 14.7ppg.
