Burani's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

34-year old power forward Agostina Burani (186-F/C-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Obras Basket Buenos Aires and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
She had a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Independiente (#7, 8-7) 80-67. Obras maintains the 2nd position in Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They are still close to the very top. Obras would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 11-2 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Burani as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Agostina Burani averages this season 11.4ppg and 9.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Maria Jourdheuil (180-PF-1994) of Club El Bigua. She is international forward in her first season at Bigua. In the last game Jourdheuil recorded an impressive double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Bigua lost that game 50-59 to slightly lower-ranked Lanus (#16, 3-11). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Bigua keeps 15th position. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Bigua managed to get this year. Jourdheuil is a newcomer at Bigua and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Laila Raviolo (180-G-2000, agency: BIG) of Independiente de Neuquen (#7). Raviolo scored 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). Despite Raviolo's great performance the Independiente lost 67-80 to the higher-ranked Obras (#2, 11-2). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Independiente needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 7 lost games. Raviolo has a great season in Argentina. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.9ppg (8th best).
