Argentinian La Liga round 37 best performance: Brandon Robinson (by Hoops Agents)

American Shooting guard Brandon Robinson (196-SG-1989) put on an amazing game in the last round for Quimsa Santiago del Estero, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 37.
The 36-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, five rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Ferro (#2, 17-8) with 42-point margin 115-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Quimsa maintains the 3rd position in Argentinian La Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Quimsa will need more victories to improve their 17-10 record. In the team's last game Robinson had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It's his second year at Quimsa and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Clayton State University star has very solid stats this year. Robinson is in league's top in points (4th best: 15.7ppg) and averages impressive 43.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Thomas Cooper (196-G-1992) of Racing de Chivilcoy. Cooper had a very good evening with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Racing Ch. to edge the higher-ranked Independ.O. (#1, 17-8) 89-84. Racing Ch.'s 18th position in the standings has not changed. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just eight victories Racing Ch. managed to get this year. Cooper is a newcomer at Racing Ch., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#2). He also registered 4.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Dylan Smith (196-SG-1997) of Argentino Junin (#19). Smith showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Argentino, leading his team to a 98-90 win against slightly higher-ranked Racing Ch. (#18, 8-19). Argentino can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 6-21 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Smith he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Smith has a very solid season. In 20 games in Argentina he scored 13.5ppg. Smith attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
