Malvina D'Agostino claims Argentinian LaLiga Femenina weekly honour

Naturalized Colombian Center Malvina D'Agostino (184-C-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for Hindu Club de Resistencia and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 24-year old center had a double-double of 11 points and 20 rebounds, while her team beat Gorriones (#12, 6-8) 68-55. Hindu maintains the 3rd position in Argentinian LaLiga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hindu will need more victories to improve their 11-4 record. It was one of impressive evenings for D'Agostino as usually she does not deliver so high stats. D'Agostino has impressive league stats. She leads league in rebounds with 13.3rpg. D'Agostino is in league's top in and averages solid 2.4bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young point guard Florencia Ortiz (160-PG-2000) of Riachuelo de La Rioja. Ortiz impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Riachuelo to another comfortable win 75-60 over the higher-ranked Bochas (#15, 4-11) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Riachuelo dropped in the standings to very bottom position. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Riachuelo managed to get this year. Ortiz is a newcomer at Riachuelo and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#6). Her other stats are also decent: 7.2rpg and 5.2apg.

The third best performed player last round was Lorena Campos (171-G/F-1999) of Quimsa de Santiago del Estero (#9). Campos scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Campos' great performance the Quimsa lost 65-71 to the league's current leader Chanares (#1, 16-0). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Quimsa needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 8 lost games. Campos has a great season in Argentina. After 16 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.3ppg (8th best) and assists with 2.7apg (6th best). She also has 2.3spg and and 3PT: 45.6%.
