Turkey - Argentina 55-59

Argentina claimed the first win in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Group A. They overcame hosting Turkey in Istanbul. Melisa Gretter (166-PG-1993) scored 16 points, while Agostina Burani (186-F/C-1991) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the Latin American side.
Turkey posted a 30-24 halftime lead. The teams traded baskets throughout the third term. But Argentina held the home side to just 5 points in the fourth quarter and snatched a tough win at the end.
Kennedy Burke (185-G-1997, college: UCLA) provided 14 points and 10 caroms for Turkey.
