Gimenez's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Franco Gimenez (190) put on an amazing game in the last round for La Union Formosa and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 37.
He had a double-double of 38 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Ferro (#6, 18-10) 85-80. La Union maintains the 3rd position in Argentinian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. La Union will need more victories to improve their 22-8 record. In the team's last game Gimenez had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be La Union's top player in his first season with the team. Gimenez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.9ppg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 60.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Giovanni Pappalardi of Club Atletico Platense Florida. He is a in his 3rd season at Platense. In the last game Pappalardi recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Platense to another comfortable win 93-79 over the lower-ranked Union (#14, 10-16) being unquestionably team leader. Platense's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 19-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Pappalardi is one of the most experienced players at Platense and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward German Misetich (196-F-2005) of Atenas Cordoba (#18). Misetich got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. Despite Misetich's great performance the Atenas lost 88-99 to the higher-ranked Regatas (#2, 23-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Atenas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 7-19 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Misetich has a very solid season. In 19 games in Argentina he scored 14.5ppg. He also has 5.8rpg and a FGP of 61.9%.
