The game in Formosa was quite interesting. 4th placed Independ.O. (18-10) played at the court of fifth ranked La Union (19-12). La Union defeated Independ.O. 103-91 on Wednesday. Independ.O.'s coach Martin Gonzalez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Union have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. It was a key game for the second position in the league. American-Mexican forward Daviyon Draper (200-1994, college: FIU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Bruno Sansimoni contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international guard Francisco Conrradi (191-2003) answered with 26 points for Independ.O.Independ.O.'s coach Martin Gonzalez tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Obera have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Independ.O. at the other side dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Obera will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. We should mention about the upset which took place in La Banda, where higher ranked Obras (15-12) lost to sixteenth ranked Olimpico (12-18) in a road game 85-93 on Thursday. Gonzalo Bressan stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Ty Sabin responded with 23 points. Olimpico moved-up to fifteenth place. Obras lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Olimpico will meet higher ranked Union (#13) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Obras will play against Atenas (#18) and hope to secure a win.

Other games of round 41 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

Union outrebounded Argentino 40-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Franco Balbi (189-1989) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Venezuelan guard Yeferson Guerra (192-2003) chipped in 25 points. American forward Dana Tate Jr (201-1999, college: Norfolk St., agency: WP Sports Agency) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Bahamas forward Lathaniel Bastian (203-1998, college: UTPB) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Union and four Argentino players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Union maintains thirteenth place with 12-16 record. Argentino lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Union will meet at home Olimpico (#15) in the next round. Argentino will play against the league's leader Quimsa (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
