Daviyon Draper claims Argentinian La Liga Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American-Mexican Daviyon Draper (200-F-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for Obera Tennis Club and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 41.
The 31-year old forward had the game-high 33 points adding seven rebounds for Obera in his team's victory, helping them to beat Independ.O. (#5, 18-10) 104-96. Obera is placed at 3rd position in Argentinian La Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Obera will need more victories to improve their 19-10 record. In the team's last game Draper had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Obera's top player in his first season with the team. Florida International University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Draper is in league's top in points (3rd best: 15.8ppg) and averages solid 53.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Italian center Gonzalo Bressan (205-C-2001) of Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda. Bressan impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Olimpico cruised to a 93-85 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Obras (#8, 16-12). This victory allowed Olimpico to move up to 15th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-18 record. Bressan is a newcomer at Olimpico and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Olimpico's star - Venezuelan Jose Ascanio (204-F-1996). Ascanio showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda, helping his team with a 93-85 win against the higher-ranked Obras (#8, 16-12). The chances of Olimpico ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 18 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ascanio could help Olimpico to bring them higher in the standings. Ascanio has a very solid season. In 27 games in Argentina he scored 13.2ppg. He also has 5.6rpg and a FGP of 59.5%.
