Bressan's 17 points and 9 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

24-year old ITA-ARG center Gonzalo Bressan (205-C-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 42.
He had the game-high 17 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Olimpico in his team's victory, helping them to crush Union SF (#15, 12-17) with 18-point margin 101-83. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Olimpico is placed at 13th position in Argentinian league. Olimpico is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-18 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Bressan as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Gonzalo Bressan averages this season 11.3ppg and 6.7rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Jose Montero (193-F/G-1995). He is a swingman in his first season at Olimpico. In the last game Montero recorded an impressive 25 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course together with Bressan he helped Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda with another comfortable win 101-83 over slightly lower-ranked Union SF (#15, 12-17) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Olimpico managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 13th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 13-18 record. Montero is a newcomer at Olimpico and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Julian Morales (195-G/F-1995) of Club Atletico Platense Florida (#16). Morales scored 27 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Morales' great performance the Platense lost 78-81 to the higher-ranked Gimnasia (#2, 20-11). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Platense not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 18 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Morales could try to bring Platense's a little bit higher in the standings. Morales has a very solid season. In 10 games in Argentina he scored 14.9ppg. He also has 5.2rpg, 2.1spg and and 3PT: 47.2%.
