Costa's 31-point game gives him Player of the Week award

19-year old guard Albano Costa (192-G-2006) had an amazing evening in the last round for Obera Tennis Club and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 41.
He had the game-high 31 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Obera in his team's victory, helping them to crush Gimnasia (#12, 12-19) with 16-point margin 83-67. Obera is placed at 8th position in Argentinian league. Obera is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 16-15 record. In the team's last game Costa had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Obera and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Costa has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.2ppg) and averages solid 59.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Raniero Mainoldi of Independiente de Oliva U22 team. He is a in his first season at Independ.O.. In the last game Mainoldi recorded an impressive 25 points and 7 rebounds. Of course he led Independ.O. to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Penarol (#13, 12-19) 107-64. Independ.O.'s 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 16-14 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mainoldi is a newcomer at Independ.O. and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jeremias Barco (G-2005) of Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda (#19). Barco got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . He was a key player of Olimpico, leading his team to a 80-75 win against the higher-ranked Quimsa (#11, 13-18). Olimpico can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 4-27 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Barco he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Barco has a very solid season. In 29 games in Argentina he scored 15.9ppg. He also has 7.2rpg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 56.2%.
