Argentinian LDD round 42 best performance: Jerson Caicedo

Colombian Forward Jerson Caicedo (204-F-2004) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 42.
The 21-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed Penarol (#13, 12-20) with 37-point margin 110-73. It allowed Instituto to consolidate first place in the Argentinian LDD. Instituto have a solid 26-5 record. In the team's last game Caicedo had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Instituto's top player in his first season with the team. Jerson Caicedo averages this season 14.2ppg and 7.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was Argentinian Tomas Delia) of Racing de Chivilcoy. Delia had a very good evening with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Racing Ch. to edge the higher-ranked Platense (#5, 20-10) 81-79. Racing Ch.'s 9th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 16-16 record is not bad and everything may still change. Delia is a newcomer at Racing Ch., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Venezuelan forward Jesus Centeno (205-F/C-2006) of Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia (#12). Centeno scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Gimnasia, leading his team to a 66-62 win against slightly higher-ranked San Lorenzo (#10, 15-16). The chances of Gimnasia ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 19 games, recording just thirteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Centeno could help Gimnasia to bring them higher in the standings. Centeno has a great season in Argentina. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.2rpg (6th best). He also has 2.8bpg and a FGP of 58.1%.
