The Regular Season in LDB is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Corrientes. Third ranked Obras faced their biggest opponent Regatas. Guests from Buenos Aires (25-4) defeated host Regatas (25-7) 86-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Regatas. They outrebounded Regatas 37-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Point guard Juan Respaud (190-2005) fired 24 points for the winners. Power forward Valentino Finetti (204-2005) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Viktor Bender (197-2006) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Regatas' coach Diego Checenelli rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Obras have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Regatas at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Obras are looking forward to face San Martin (#16) in Corrientes in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Regatas will have a break next round.
Leader Instituto delivered the twenty seventh victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Platense (21-11) 74-64 in Cordoba. Worth to mention a great performance of Lucca Giuliani who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds. Lucas Andersson contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Instituto's coach Ignacio Giambartolomei used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for Platense. Instituto (27-5) have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place. Platense at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ferro. Instituto will again play against Platense (#5) in Florida in the next round. Platense will have a break next round.

Worth to mention a quality performance of Hugo Paez who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side Maximo Martinez responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Olimpico's coach Jose Maria Gerez gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for La Union. They maintain fourth place with 25-8 record. Loser Olimpico stay dead last with 28 lost games. La Union will meet Quimsa (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olimpico will have a break next round.

Other games of round 43 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Union was crushed by Penarol in Mar del Plata 89-69. Atenas was beaten by Platense at home 85-90. Argentino was destroyed by Ferro on the opponent's court 84-59. San Lorenzo outscored Boca Jrs. in a home game 93-65.

Olimpico - La Union 64-92

The game with biggest result difference took place in La Banda. Local Olimpico (4-28) was outscored by fourth ranked La Union (25-8) 92-64 on Sunday night. La Union outrebounded Olimpico 53-29 including a 42-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of Paraguayan Hugo Paez (-2005, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Franco Gimenez (190) helped adding 24 points. Five La Union players scored in double figures. At the losing side Maximo Martinez responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Jose Gerez scored 13 points. The game between closely ranked teams ended with 14th ranked Union's (11-20) road loss to thirteenth ranked Penarol (13-20) 69-89 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Gonzalo Aman (190-2008) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Martin Chapero (207-2007) helped adding 12 points and 7 rebounds. Five Penarol players scored in double figures. At the losing side Agustin Ferrari (-2005) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Pablo Spies scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Penarol maintains thirteenth place with 13-20 record. Union lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Penarol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Union will play against Gimnasia (#12) in Comodoro Rivadavia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

No shocking result in a game in Cordoba where fifth ranked Platense (21-11) defeated 15th ranked Atenas (11-21) 90-85 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Joaquin Goncalves who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) helped adding 20 points (made all of his seven free throws). At the losing side forward German Misetich (196-2005) responded with 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Tiago Tomatis scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Platense maintains fifth place with 21-11 record, which they share with Ferro. Loser Atenas keeps the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. Platense will meet league's leader Instituto in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Atenas will have a break next round.

Strangely Argentino outrebounded Ferro 46-33 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ferro looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Argentino's players. It was a great evening for Tobias Tamagusuku who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 10 steals. Mateo Cerruti helped adding 13 points and 5 rebounds. Coach Juan Di Gilio's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Nicolas Schettino responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and Chilean Dylan Perez (191-2005) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds.
