Argentinian LDD round 45 best performance: Albano Costa (by Hoops Agents)

Guard Albano Costa (192-G-2006) had a very impressive game in the last round for Obera Tennis Club, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 45.
The 19-year old player was the main contributor (42 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Argentino (#17, 9-24) 79-64. Obera is placed at 8th position in Argentinian LDD. Obera is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 18-16 record. In the team's last game Costa had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range and got eight three-pointers out of 11 attempts. It's his second year at Obera and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Albano Costa has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.9ppg) and averages impressive 58.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Luca Salvetti, agency: BIG) of league's leader Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba. Salvetti had a very good evening with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. It was enough for Instituto to edge the lower-ranked Gimnasia (#12, 14-20) 90-86. Of course Instituto still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just five games this season, while they won 29 matches. Salvetti is well-known at Instituto and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Obera's star - Colombian guard Edwin Niebles (178-PG-2005). Niebles scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Obera Tennis Club, helping his team with a 79-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Argentino (#17, 9-24). Obera needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 16 lost games. Niebles has a great season in Argentina. After 34 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.1rpg (2nd best).
