Matias Khoury claims Argentinian LDD Hoops Agents weekly honour

Matias Khoury had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Obras Basket Buenos Aires U22 team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 46.
The had a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Independ.O. (#10, 17-17) with 25-point margin 94-69. Obras maintains the 2nd position in Argentinian LDD. They are still close to the very top. Obras would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 27-5 record. In the team's last game Khoury had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Obras and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Matias Khoury averages this season 10.1ppg and 5.6rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Franco Gimenez (190) of La Union Formosa. Gimenez impressed basketball fans with 32 points and 3 rebounds. Of course he led La Union to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Penarol (#13, 13-22) 103-69. La Union's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 26-9 record is not bad at all. Gimenez is a newcomer at La Union and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#4). He also registered 5.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Paraguayan Sebastian Bogado (206-F-2007) of Quimsa Santiago del Estero (#11). Bogado scored 22 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Quimsa, leading his team to a 75-73 win against the lower-ranked Atenas (#16, 11-23). The chances of Quimsa ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 19 games, recording just fifteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bogado could help Quimsa to bring them higher in the standings. Bogado has a very solid season. In 32 games in Argentina he scored 8.9ppg. He also has 7.6rpg and a FGP of 52.0%.
