Niebles' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

20-year old Colombian point guard Edwin Niebles (178-PG-2005) put on an amazing game in the last round for Obera Tennis Club and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 47.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 25 rebounds, while his team beat Atenas (#16, 11-25) 90-82. Obera maintains the 7th position in Argentinian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Obera will need more victories to improve their 20-16 record. Niebles has many years of experience at Obera, through which he has constantly improved. Niebles has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 11.9rpg. Niebles is in league's top in and averages solid 60.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Santino Mazzucchelli (196-F-2004) of Club Atletico Platense Florida. He is a forward in his 3rd season at Platense. In the last game Mazzucchelli recorded an impressive double-double of 32 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Platense lost that game 82-87 to the lower-ranked San Martin (#15, 12-23). Platense managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 22-13 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mazzucchelli is one of the most experienced players at Platense and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.1ppg (#3). He also registered 9.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Obera's star - guard Albano Costa (192-G-2006). Costa got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and ten assists. He was another key player of Obera Tennis Club, helping his team with a 91-60 easy win against the lower-ranked Penarol (#14, 13-23). Obera needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 20 victories and 16 lost games. Costa has a great season in Argentina. After 36 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.4ppg (2nd best).
