The former international center Florencia Fernandez (189-1986) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Dalma Piri (175-2001) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Ferro's coach Gabriel Fernandez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) replied with 20 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Maria Sagardoy added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Instituto.
