La Liga Round 3 of Semi-Finals. Ferro and Boca Juniors narrow deficits

Ferro - Gimnasia 74-70

It was a great evening for point guard Jano Martinez (180-2003) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. Paraguayan center Leonel Bettiga (208) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Venezuelan forward Anyelo Cisneros (200-1997) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and guard Emiliano Toretta (185-2001) scored 15 points. Four Ferro and five Gimnasia players scored in double figures. Gimnasia's coach Pablo Favarel rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

25 personal fouls committed by Quimsa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international center Francisco Caffaro (216-2000, college: Santa Clara) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). The former international Agustin Barreiro (205-1999) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) answered with 20 points and the other American import Tyren Johnson (202-1988, college: Louisiana) added 16 points in the effort for Quimsa. Five Boca Juniors and four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
