Ballers claimed NPWBA title. They overcame Defenders in Game 4 of the championship series to conquer the trophy. Ballers forced 21 Defenders turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Valerie Nesbitt (173-1998, college: Ole Miss) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists and Shenell Stewart who added 30 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Ballers' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international center Roberta Quant (-1976) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Philicia Kelly (175-1989, college: Okla City) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
