Rockets - Giants 78-92
Commonwealth Bank Giants clinched NPBA title. They beat Rockets on the road to complete the sweep of the championship series. Giants forced 22 Rockets turnovers. Strangely Rockets outrebounded Giants 63-43 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Rockets' players. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Eugene Bain (195-1988, college: Bellevue) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Dylan Musgrove (190, college: Southeastern) chipped in 26 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Abel Joseph (200-1990, college: Holland) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Roosevelt Whylly added 8 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
