We bring you last week's top performances from Bahamians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Christopher Turnquest
Christopher Turnquest
#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international power forward Christopher Turnquest (204-83, college: Miles CC, currently plays in Spain). He was the major contributor in Arenys' victory against the 13th-ranked Palma II (0-3) 92-79 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) in Sunday night's game. Turnquest scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in 28 minutes on the court. Arenys Basquet Joventut (1-2) is placed tenth in Group C-B. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Turnquest's first year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Turnquest averages: 17.7ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 57.1%(20-35) and FT: 90.9% in three games he played so far. He played for the Bahamas senior national team twelve years ago.

Jonathan Augustin-Fairell
Jonathan Augustin-Fairell
#2. Second place goes to an international forward Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-93, agency: Duran International, college: Murray St., currently plays in France). Augustin-Fairell could not help Cholet Basket (4-0) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance the league leader Cholet Basket was defeated 94-79 on the road by the lower-ranked Chalons-Reims (#6). Augustin-Fairell was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 6 rebounds. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Augustin-Fairell's first year with the team. Augustin-Fairell has relatively good stats this season: 10.3ppg, 6.3rpg, 2FGP: 48.6%. He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and American. Augustin-Fairell is in the roster of the Bahamas senior national team.

Gjio Bain
Gjio Bain
#3. The Bahamas player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Gjio Bain (211-85, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Japan). He was not able to help Iwate Big Bulls (2-2) in their last game. Despite Bain's very good performance Iwate Big Bulls lost 62-66 in Saitama to the higher-ranked (#3) Broncos. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 12 rebounds. Bain also added and 3 steals in 36 minutes. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Bain's first year with the team. This season he has relatively solid stats: 13.3ppg, 8.5rpg, 1.8bpg, 2FGP: 75.0%(24-32) and FT: 41.7% in four games. Former Commonwealth Bank Giants starter played for the Bahamas national team seven years ago.

Kadeem Coleby
Kadeem Coleby
#4. Power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Akita Happinets (0-2) in their game against Ryukyu GK (2-0) in the Japanese B League. He recorded 9 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. It was his first game for Akita Happinets this season. But the fourth-placed Akita Happinets (0-2) were badly defeated 84-67 in Okinawa by the second-ranked Ryukyu GK in the East group. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Worth to mention Coleby played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Coleby is also Bahamas national team player.

Kentwan Smith
Kentwan Smith
