DAVID NESBITT
Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Bahamians who are currently playing abroad.

David Nesbitt
David Nesbitt
#1. This week's number one is an international forward David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL, currently plays in Brazil). He contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked SKY/Basquete (0-1) 73-54 in the Brazilian NBB in Saturday night's game. Nesbitt recorded 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Flamengo this season. His team is placed first in the NBB. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Nesbitt is currently a member of the Bahamas senior national team.

Dwight Coleby
Dwight Coleby
#2. Second place goes to an international forward Dwight Coleby (206-94, college: W.Kentucky, currently plays in Belgium). He could not help Liege Basket (1-2) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Coleby's very good performance Liege Basket was defeated 92-78 on the road by the leading Belfius Mons-Hainaut. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Coleby also added 8 rebounds. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Coleby has relatively good stats this year: 14.7ppg, 7.0rpg, 2FGP: 73.7%(14-19) and FT: 94.1%(16-17). He is in the roster of the Bahamas senior national team.

Kadeem Coleby

#3. The Bahamas player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Japan). He was not able to help Akita Happinets (0-4) in their last game. Despite Coleby's good performance the sixth-placed Akita Happinets (0-4) lost 92-104 in Niigata to the second-ranked Albirex in the East group. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Coleby also added 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks in a mere 15 minutes. So far Akita Happinets lost all four games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Coleby averages: 8.5ppg, 8.0rpg, 3.0bpg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 47.8% and FT: 66.7% in four games he played so far. Worth to mention Coleby played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. He is also a member of the Bahamas senior national team.

Gjio Bain
Gjio Bain
#4. An experienced center Gjio Bain (211-85, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Iwate Big Bulls (2-4) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Bain's very good performance Iwate Big Bulls were defeated 66-62 in Saitama by the higher-ranked Broncos (#3). He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 12 rebounds. Bain also added and 3 steals. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. It's Bain's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 8.7rpg and 1.7bpg. Bain used to play for the Bahamas national team back in 2011.

Christopher Turnquest
