Abel Joseph
American Dominique Fernander had a very impressive game in the last round for Pirates and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 5.
The had the game-high 34 points adding nine rebounds for Pirates as his team was edged out by Stingers (#2, 4-1) 105-101. Pirates maintains the 5th position in Bahamas NPBA. Pirates is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 3rd lost game this season out of 5 games. Fernander has many years of experience at Pirates, through which he has constantly improved. Dominique Fernander averages this season 19.0ppg and 13.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old international guard Abel Joseph (200-G-90) of second-ranked Stingers. Joseph impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Stingers to edge the lower-ranked Pirates (#5, 2-3) by 4 points 105-101. This victory allowed Stingers to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Joseph is well-known by Stingers fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was William Rigby of Shockers (#6). Rigby scored 14 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Shockers, leading his team to a 65-58 win against slightly lower-ranked Defenders (#8, 1-4). The chances of Shockers not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Rigby could try to bring Shockers' a little bit higher in the standings. Rigby has a very solid season. In 4 games in Bahamas he scored 9.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Livingston Munnings (C-92) of Rockets - 12 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Scottie Farrington) of Stingers - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
