GJIO BAIN

Kagoshima Rebnise (B League D3) signed 33-year old Bahamas ex-international center Gjio Bain (211-102kg-85, college: S.Mississippi). He is the second import player in the roster as USA Shelton Boykin signed here earlier.
It is actually Bain's comeback to Renova as he has played here before. He started the season at Iwate Big Bulls (B League D3). In 24 games he had 8.7ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.3bpg this season.
The most of last season Bain spent at Kagoshima where in 26 B League D3 games he recorded 10.4ppg, 8.5rpg and 1.8bpg. Bain also played for Tokyo Cinq earlier that season. In 22 B League D3 games he averaged just 2.8ppg and 2.6rpg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Bain played in the final of IBL for two years in a row (2013 and 2014). He was also voted USBasket.com All-IBL 2nd Team back in 2012.
Bain was also a member of Bahamas international program for some years. He played for Bahamas Senior National Team between 2009 and 2011 and previously for U21 National Team in 2004.
Bain represented Bahamas at the CBC Championships in Nassau (Bahamas) eight years ago. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 6 games: 1.8ppg, 2.0rpg.
Bain is quite experienced player. He has played in seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Bain has played previously professionally also in Indonesia (Bima Perkasa), Iran (Melli Haffari Ahvaz), Mexico, Spain (A.D. Tarragona), Bahamas (Giants) and IBL (Vancouver V., Olympia R. and Orlando V.).
He attended University of Southern Mississippi until 2008 and it is his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
