Giants - Bahamas Univ. 79-71

Giants overcame University of Bahamas to take the lead in the semifinal series. Giants outrebounded Mingoes 51-37 including a 40-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Gameliel Rose fired 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard DShon Taylor (196-93, college: Norfolk St.) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Antwan Bevans (198, college: Casper CC) produced 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Donovan Dean added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Stingers - Rockets 101-96

Stingers outlasted Rockets to surge ahead in the series. Stingers players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Eugene Bain (195-88, college: Bellevue) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Salathiel Dean contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Georgio Walkes answered with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and center Dancel Knowles added 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Rockets. Five Stingers and four Rockets players scored in double figures. Rockets' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.
