DAVID NESBITT
We bring you last week's top performances from Bahamians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

David Nesbitt
David Nesbitt
#1. This week's number one is an international forward David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL, currently plays in Brazil). Nesbitt could not help Flamengo (22-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance the league leader Flamengo was defeated 81-77 in a derby game by the lower-ranked Botafogo F.R. (#7). Nesbitt scored 10 points. This season Nesbitt averages: 7.9ppg, 4.3rpg, 2FGP: 56.3%(63-112), 3FGP: 34.2% and FT: 80.9%. He is currently a member of the Bahamas senior national team.

L.J. Rose
L.J. Rose
#2. Second place goes to an international guard L.J. Rose (190-93, college: BYU, currently plays in Australia). Rose contributed to Rollers' victory against the seventh-ranked Rockhampton Rockets (2-3) 87-80 in the Australian State League (second division) on Sunday night. He scored 9 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 25 minutes. Gold Coast Rollers (3-1) are placed fourth in QBL group. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Rose has relatively good stats this year: 12.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 7.8apg, 2FGP: 45.8%, 3FGP: 27.3% and FT: 66.7% in four games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and American. Despite Rose played previously for the USA U16 national team, he is currently a member of the Bahamas senior national team.

Zane Knowles
Zane Knowles
#3. The Bahamas player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Zane Knowles (208-92, agency: Octagon Europe, college: Texas A&M-CC, currently plays in France). Knowles was not able to help C'Chartres in their game against Saint Chamond (19-13) in the French ProB (second division). He scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. C'Chartres was crushed 115-75 on the road by the lower-ranked Saint Chamond (#7). They ended the series of three consecutive victories. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Knowles' overall stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 6.1rpg, 2FGP: 65.2%(75-115) and FT: 53.8%. He is also a member of the Bahamas senior national team.

J.R. Cadot
J.R. Cadot
#4. Swingman J.R. Cadot (196-87, college: TCU, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Aceitunas Fragata Moron in a 1-point victory against the 12th-ranked Tormes (8-26) 81-80 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday. Cadot recorded only 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in 13 minutes. Aceitunas Fragata Moron (17-18) is placed eighth in East group. The Regular Season already ended. This year Cadot's overall stats are: 4.1ppg and 4.0rpg in 15 games. He is also Bahamas national team player.

Tavario Miller
Tavario Miller
#5. International forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in Baskonia's victory against the seventh-ranked Albacete (17-17) 70-65 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night. He recorded 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds (made all of his five free throws). Grupo Eleyco Baskonia (25-6) is placed second in West group. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Miller's first season with the team. This year Miller has relatively solid stats: 11.5ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.2spg. Worth to mention Miller played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. He plays currently for the Bahamas national team.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Bahamas passport:

#1. Klay Thompson (201-G-90, college: WSU, currently plays in NBA) led Golden State Warriors to a victory over the Houston Rockets (53-29) 104-99 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Thompson scored 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds in 45 minutes. The Golden State Warriors have a solid 57-25 record this season. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Thompson's eighth year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Thompson averages: 21.1ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1spg in 90 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and American.
