BIBT Great W. - Wolverines 69-79 Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nassau: Wolverines (#3) and BIBT Great W. (#6). BIBT Great W. was defeated at home 69-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Wolverines forced 26 BIBT Great W. turnovers. American Dominique Fernander (, college: Hobart) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Garvin Lightbourne chipped in 22 points. At the losing side Trevez Hamilton responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Marc Taylor scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four BIBT Great W. players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Wolverines maintains third place with 5-6 record having four points less than leader Rockets. BIBT Great W. lost their eighth game in a row. BIBT Great W. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with eight games lost. The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 95-92. However their fans expected easier game. 34 personal fouls committed by Abaco Strong helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international center Livingston Munnings (-92) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Able Joseph chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Rockets players scored in double figures. Rockets' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Tevin Hudson produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and Malik Penn added 28 points respectively for lost side. Rockets have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Abaco Strong lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Shockers were defeated at home 77-88 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Shockers. Giants players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. 28 personal fouls committed by Shockers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Adam Johnson nailed 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side and the former international guard DShon Taylor (196-93, college: Norfolk St.) accounted for 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Four Giants players scored in double figures. William Rigby came up with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Horris McKenzie added 22 points respectively for Shockers in the defeat. Shockers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Giants. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-0 record. Shockers at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. Regulators were defeated at home 73-82 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Shantoin Pratt fired 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Jeremy Neely chipped in 13 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Four High Flyers players scored in double figures. Chico Francis produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and Alexander Rolle (-93) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for High Flyers. Newly promoted High Flyers maintains second place with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Rockets, which they share with Bahamas Univ. Loser Regulators keep the fourth position with six games lost. Rebels looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Defenders were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Martin Conliff fired 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Jason Cambridge chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Gregory Seymour produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and Leon Rahming added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Four Rebels and five Defenders players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Rebels maintains sixth place with 1-7 record. It was Defenders' sixth loss in a row. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. (8-2) in Nassau. Bahamas Univ. managed to secure only two-point victory 99-97. However their fans expected easier game. Bahamas Univ. forced 29 Uptown Cuts turnovers. Strangely Uptown Cuts outrebounded Bahamas Univ. 64-44 including a 43-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Uptown Cuts were plagued by 35 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Kemsy Sylvestre who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Robert Joseph (178, college: N.Okl.-Enid. JC) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Colton Albury answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and forward Adorn Charlow (196, college: Three Rivers CC) added 26 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Uptown Cuts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bahamas Univ.. They maintain second place with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Rockets, which they share with High Flyers. Uptown Cuts lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the fifth position with seven games lost.
