Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Bahamians who are currently playing abroad.
#1. This week's number one is former international center
DeAndre Ayton (216-98, college:
Arizona, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the
Phoenix Suns (2-1) in their last game. Despite Ayton's very good performance the Phoenix Suns (2-1) were edged
120-118 at home by the San Antonio Spurs.
He had a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 12 rebounds in 39 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Ayton's second season in pro basketball. Ayton has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg, 11.6rpg, 1.9apg, 1.4bpg, 2FGP: 52.0% and FT: 82.5% in 16 games he played so far.
Ayton played for the Bahamas senior national team four years ago.
#2. Second place goes to former international guard
Buddy Hield (193-93, college:
Oklahoma, currently plays in NBA). He was not able to help the
Sacramento Kings (3-4) in their last game on Monday. Despite Hield's very good performance the Sacramento Kings (3-4) were defeated
118-113 on the road by the Miami Heat.
He was the second best scorer with 20 points. Hield also added 7 rebounds, passed 7 assists and added 2 blocks.
This season Hield has very high stats. He averages: 20.0ppg, 5.1rpg, 3.2apg, 2FGP: 48.7%, 3FGP: 36.4% and FT: 82.0%.
Hield played for the Bahamas national team in 2018.
#3. The Bahamas player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward
Tavario Miller (203-94, college:
Texas A&M, currently plays in Basketball Champions League Americas). Miller led his Argentinian team
Quimsa to a victory against the closely-ranked Mogi (2-2)
96-83 in the Basketball Champions League Americas on Sunday night.
He scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Quimsa Santiago del Estero (3-1) is placed fourth in the Basketball Champions League Americas.
It's Miller's first season with the team.
This year Miller's overall stats are: 7.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 2FGP: 71.4%(20-28) in six games.
Worth to mention he played also at
Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. He played for the Bahamas national team two years ago.
#4. An experienced forward
Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college:
PFW, currently plays in France) led
Aix-Maurienne to a victory over the 16th-ranked Paris (5-10)
102-83 in the French ProB (second division) in Sunday night's game.
Burrows was MVP of the game. He recorded 32 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 5 assists and made 2 blocks.
Aix-Maurienne Savoie Basket (8-8) is placed 11th in the ProB.
This season Burrows has very high stats. He averages: 15.5ppg, 6.1rpg, 3.1apg and 1.4spg.
Burrows used to play for the Bahamas national team
back in 2018.
#5. Former international forward
Dwight Coleby (206-94, agency:
Interperformances, college:
WKU, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for
Sassari (15-4) in their game against Trento (9-10) in the Italian Serie A. He did not have that impressive stats last Saturday.
Coleby scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 14 minutes. It was his first game for Sassari this season.
Sassari was edged
90-87 on their home court in Sassari by the much lower-ranked (#10) Trento.
They ended the series of nine consecutive victories.
Coleby used to play for the Bahamas national team
two years ago.
#6. Power forward
David Nesbitt (200-91, college:
St.Thomas, FL, currently plays in Brazil) couldn't help
Corinthians (7-3) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his good performance Corinthians was defeated
77-70 by the lower-ranked UniFacisa (#7).
Nesbitt scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Nesbitt has relatively good stats this season: 10.9ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.7apg.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Bahamas National Team roster.
#7. Former international small forward
Mark St.Fort (200-88, college:
Warner, currently plays in Japan) was the major contributor in a 1-point
Saitama Broncos' victory against the closely-ranked Aisin AW (22-10)
76-75 in the Japanese B3 League in Saturday night's game.
St.Fort had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 36 minutes.
Saitama Broncos (16-15) are placed sixth in the B3 League.
St.Fort has very impressive stats this year: 18.7ppg, 10.0rpg, 2.3apg and 2.3bpg in 31 games.
He used to play for the Bahamas national team

#8. Center
Shaquille Cleare (203-93, college:
Texas, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help
Lleida Basquet (6-13) in their game against Almansa (9-10) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Despite his very good performance last Saturday Cleare was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 7 rebounds, 3 assists and made 4 blocks.
This season Cleare has relatively solid stats: 11.2ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.2apg.
He plays currently for the Bahamas national team.
#9. Former international power forward
Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-93, agency:
Duran International, college:
Murray St., currently plays in Belgium) couldn't help
Basic-Fit Brussels (4-9) in their game against Kangoeroes (11-6) in the Belgian Euromillions League.
Augustin-Fairell scored 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 18 minutes.
But Basic-Fit Brussels lost
72-76 in Mechelen to the higher-ranked (#6) Kangoeroes.
It was Basic-Fit Brussels' fourth consecutive loss in a row.
Augustin-Fairell has reliable stats this year: 10.3ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.1apg in 13 games.
He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and American.
Augustin-Fairell used to play for the Bahamas national team

#10. Power forward
Kadeem Coleby (206-89, agency:
HMS, college:
Wichita St., currently plays in Japan) contributed to a 2-point
Akita Happinets' victory against the second-ranked Link Tochigi Brex Utsunomiya (24-8)
66-64 in the Japanese B1 League in Wednesday night's game.
Coleby scored 10 points, had 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks.
Akita Northern Happinets (14-17) are placed fifth in East group.
Coleby's total stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.4apg and 2.0bpg.
He attended previously one of camps at
Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. He is a former international player as two years ago he still played for the Bahamas senior national team.
#11. Former international center
Zane Knowles (208-92, agency:
Octagon Europe, college:
Texas A&M-CC, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) couldn't help
PAOK in their game against Brindisi in the Basketball Champions League. Knowles cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones.
He scored only one point and grabbed 6 rebounds in 18 minutes.
His team was edged
93-91.
This year Knowles' total stats are: 6.3ppg and 6.3rpg in 12 games.
He used to play for the Bahamas national team
two years ago.
#12. Former U17 international forward
Qyemah Gibson (196-97, currently plays in Canada) couldn't help the
Saint Mary's University in their game against the Tigers in the U Sports, despite his very good performance in Wednesday night's game.
Gibson was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 27 minutes.
But his team lost
79-86.
Gibson has very impressive stats this year: 16.9ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5bpg in 12 games.
He used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team
back in 2013.
#13. Former U17 international forward
Charles Bain (203-96, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to
RMU's victory against the Long Island University
71-66 in the NCAA on Saturday night.
He recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 24 minutes.
Bain has averaged so far 5.9ppg and 3.6rpg in 21 games.
He used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team
seven years ago.
#14. Former U17 international forward
Sebastian Gray (198-97, college:
N.Okl.-Enid. JC, currently plays in Canada) is a teammate of previously mentioned Qyemah Gibson and both played together in the last U Sports game.
Gray couldn't help the
Saint Mary's University in their game against the Tigers, despite his good performance last Wednesday.
He recorded 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes.
But his team lost
79-86.
Gray has averaged so far 10.0ppg and 5.4rpg in 12 games.
He is another player who holds two passports: Bahamas and American.
Gray used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team
back in 2013.
#15. Former international forward
Travis Munnings (198-94, also represented by
Interperformances, college:
ULM, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Vitre
80-64 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night.
He scored 12 points and added 5 assists.
Munnings has averaged so far 10.0ppg, 6.5rpg and 3.0apg.
He used to play for the Bahamas national team
two years ago.
The list of other players, who all have Bahamas passport but never been selected to any of Bahamas national teams: #1. Azaro Roker (198-F, currently plays in Canada) could not help the
St. Francis Xavier University (6-6) in their last game on Friday. Despite Roker's very good performance the St. Francis Xavier University (#3) was crushed
94-69 on the road by the Panthers.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds.
Roker is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in St. Francis Xavier University's roster.
Roker has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.3ppg, 12.3rpg and 1.3apg.
#2. Godfrey Rolle (180-PG, currently plays in NCAA2) was not able to help the
Southwest Baptist University (2-0) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Rolle's very good performance his team was badly defeated
97-78 in Indianapolis by the University of.
He scored 16 points.
Rolle averaged so far 10.9ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.1apg.
#3. Radshad Davis (188-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to a 2-point
UT Arlington's victory against the Texas State University at San Marcos (5-4)
64-62 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game.
Davis recorded 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
The University of Texas at Arlington has 4-5 conference record this season.
Davis has averaged so far 8.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.5apg.
#4. Shaquillo Fritz (203-F/C-94, currently studies in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the
Pacific (3-3) in their game against the Brigham Young University (4-2) in the NCAA.
Fritz scored 6 points.
his team was defeated
74-60 in Provo by the Brigham Young University.
Fritz has averaged so far 2.8ppg and 3.5rpg.
#5. Edajh Fawkes (183-PG, currently plays in NCAA2) managed to help Lane College in a victory against the Tuskegee University (6-2)
62-47 in the NCAA2 in Saturday night's game.
He scored only 4 points and added 4 passes in 18 minutes.
The Lane College has rather weak 2-6 record this season.
Fawkes has averaged so far 5.3ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.4apg and 1.4spg in 11 games he played so far.
#6. Nate Bethel (193-G, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the
McKendree University (5-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance his team was badly defeated
82-65 in Kirksville by the Truman State University.
Bethel scored 10 points.
Bethel averaged so far 10.2ppg and 3.7rpg.
#7. Edriel Martinborough (175-PG, currently plays in NAIA) led
Evangel University to a 2-point victory against the Mount Mercy University
91-89 in the NAIA on Saturday night.
He recorded 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 33 minutes.
Martinborough's stats this year are: 14.8ppg, 4.3rpg and 3.2apg in 17 games.
#8. Shaquille Evans (196-F-95, currently plays in NAIA) contributed to an easy victory against the St. Andrews University crushing them
85-59 in the AAC in Wednesday night's game.
He recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
Evans has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.1apg.
#9. Jevaughn Ferguson (203-F, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the
William Jewell College in their game against the Rockhurst University in the NCAA2.
He scored 7 points in 16 minutes.
His team was crushed by 23 points
95-72 in the NCAA2.
Ferguson has averaged so far 2.1ppg and 1.9rpg in 15 games.
