   #1. This week's number one is former international center DeAndre Ayton (216-98, college: Arizona, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the Phoenix Suns (21-32) in their last game. Despite Ayton's very good performance the Phoenix Suns (21-32) lost 108-117 at home to the Denver Nuggets. He had a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 19 rebounds. Ayton also added and 3 steals in 42 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Ayton has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.3ppg, 11.7rpg, 2.1apg, 1.6bpg, 2FGP: 54.3% and FT: 81.8% in 23 games he played so far. Ayton played for the Bahamas senior national team four years ago.

Buddy Hield

   #2. Second place goes to former international guard Buddy Hield (193-93, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in NBA). He led Sacramento Kings to a victory over the San Antonio Spurs (22-30) crushing them 122-102 in the NBA last Saturday. Hield was MVP of the game. He scored 31 points (!!!), had 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists. The Sacramento Kings have 21-31 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Hield has very high stats. He averages: 20.5ppg, 5.1rpg, 3.2apg, 2FGP: 49.2%, 3FGP: 38.6% and FT: 82.7%. Hield played for the Bahamas national team in 2018.

Tavario Miller

   #3. The Bahamas player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M, currently plays in Argentina). Miller was the major contributor in Quimsa's victory against the 18th-ranked CA Platense (7-11) crushing them 102-77 in the Argentinian La Liga on Sunday night. He scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 22 minutes; not bad, considering it's only Miller's third season in pro basketball. Quimsa Santiago del Estero (7-1) is placed first in the La Liga. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Miller's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 10.3ppg, 5.6rpg, 2FGP: 69.7%(62-89) and FT: 75.0% in 15 games. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Miller played for the Bahamas national team two years ago.

Dwight Coleby

   #4. Forward Dwight Coleby (206-94, agency: Interperformances, college: WKU, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help Sassari in their game against Trieste (6-15) in the Italian Serie A. His contribution was not very remarkable in Sunday's game. Coleby scored only 2 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Sassari was edged 83-82 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Trieste (#16). Coleby's overall stats this season are: 2.0ppg and 5.5rpg. He used to play for the Bahamas national team back in 2018.

David Nesbitt

   #5. International power forward David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for Corinthians (7-3) in their last game. Despite Nesbitt's good performance Corinthians was edged 75-74 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#10) Paschoalotto/Bauru. He scored 13 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 30 minutes. It's Nesbitt's first season with the team. This year Nesbitt has relatively solid stats: 11.2ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.7apg in 20 games. He plays currently for the Bahamas national team.

   #6. Small forward Mark St.Fort (200-88, college: Warner, currently plays in Japan) couldn't help Saitama Broncos (16-19) in their last game on Friday. Despite St.Fort's very good performance Saitama Broncos were badly defeated 75-58 in Tokyo by the higher-ranked Tokyo HT (#5). He recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 14 rebounds. This season St.Fort has very high stats. He averages: 18.2ppg, 10.0rpg, 2.5apg and 2.2bpg. St.Fort is a former international player as he played for the Bahamas senior team two years ago.

   #7. Former international power forward Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-93, agency: Duran International, college: Murray St., currently plays in Belgium) couldn't help Basic-Fit Brussels (5-10) in their last game. Despite his good performance Basic-Fit Brussels lost 62-77 in Jemappes to the leading Belfius Mons-Hainaut. Augustin-Fairell was the top scorer with 13 points. He also added 5 rebounds in only a mere 14 minutes. It was Basic-Fit Brussels' fifth consecutive loss in a row. Augustin-Fairell has reliable stats this year: 10.5ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.1apg in 14 games. He has a dual citizenship: Bahamas and American. Augustin-Fairell used to play for the Bahamas national team two years ago.

Power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, agency: HMS, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Japan) couldn't help Akita Happinets (16-20) in their game against Osaka Evessa (24-12) in the Japanese B1 League. Despite his good performance last Saturday Coleby recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. Coleby's overall stats this season are: 9.8ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.8bpg. He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. He used to play for the Bahamas national team back in 2018.

   #9. Former U17 international forward Sebastian Gray (198-97, college: N.Okl.-Enid. JC, currently plays in Canada) was the main contributor in a 3-point Saint Mary's University's victory against the Capers (6-11) 81-78 in the U Sports in Saturday night's game. Gray was the best player in that game. He scored 25 points. The Saint Mary's University has 9-8 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Gray averaged so far 10.9ppg and 5.1rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Bahamas and American. Gray used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team seven years ago.

   #10. Forward Qyemah Gibson (196-97, currently plays in Canada) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sebastian Gray. But that was another game of his team in U Sports which we would like to mention. Gibson contributed to a Saint Mary's University's victory against the Sea Hawks (6-10) 84-80. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 14 rebounds. Gibson also added 5 assists and 2 blocks in 39 minutes. The Saint Mary's University has 9-8 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Gibson has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5bpg in 17 games. He is a former U17 international player as seven years ago he still played for the Bahamas national team.

   #11. Former U17 international forward Charles Bain (203-96, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped RMU win their game against the Sacred Heart University 61-58 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Bain scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 34 minutes. This year his overall stats are: 5.6ppg and 3.6rpg in 24 games. Bain used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team seven years ago.

   #12. Former U16 international guard Shamar Burrows (190-97, currently plays in Canada) helped Dalhousie University win their game against the X-Men 96-84 in the U Sports last Wednesday. He scored 16 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). Burrows' total stats this season are: 8.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.8spg. He used to play for the Bahamas U16 national team back in 2013.

   #13. An experienced former international forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: PFW, currently plays in France) couldn't help Aix-Maurienne in their game against Sluc Nancy in the French ProB (second division). Despite his good performance in Friday night's game He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Burrows also added 5 rebounds. Burrows averaged so far 14.9ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg. He used to play for the Bahamas national team two years ago.

   #14. Former international forward Travis Munnings (198-94, also represented by Interperformances, college: ULM, currently plays in France) couldn't help La Rochelle in their game against Toulouse in the French NM1 (third division), despite his good performance last Saturday. Munnings scored 12 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 33 minutes. But his team was edged 71-70. Munnings' stats this year are: 13.5ppg, 7.0rpg, 3.8apg and 1.3spg in four games. He used to play for the Bahamas national team back in 2018.

   #15. Former U17 international forward Jordan Wilson (196-96, currently plays in Canada) is a teammate of previously mentioned Shamar Burrows and both played together in the last U Sports game. Wilson helped Dalhousie University win their game against the X-Men 96-84. He scored 12 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Wilson's total stats this season are: 8.6ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.3apg and 1.4spg. He used to play for the Bahamas U17 national team seven years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Bahamas passport but never been selected to any of Bahamas national teams:

   #1. Azaro Roker (198-F, currently plays in Canada) led St. Francis Xavier University to a victory over the Varsity Reds (11-6) 87-81 in the U Sports on Saturday night. Roker was the best player in that game. He had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 16 rebounds in 30 minutes. The St. Francis Xavier University has 10-7 record this season. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Roker is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in St. Francis Xavier University's roster. Roker has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.4ppg, 12.8rpg and 1.1apg in 17 games he played so far.

   #2. Nathan Bain (198-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to a SF Austin's victory against the Nicholls State University (7-2) 70-64 in the NCAA on Wednesday night. Bain scored 17 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists. The Stephen F. Austin State University has quite an impressive 7-1 conference record this season. Bain has been at the team for five years. His overall stats this year are: 5.2ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.4apg.

   #3. Radshad Davis (188-F, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the UT Arlington (4-5) in their last game. Despite Davis' very good performance his team lost 75-89 at home to the Coastal Carolina College. He scored 16 points in a mere 19 minutes. This year Davis' total stats are: 8.3ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.5apg in 24 games.

   #4. Kevin Altidor (196-F-90, college: Young Harris, currently plays in Norway) helped Tromso edge one of league's weakest teams Asker Aliens (4-17) 84-83 in the Norwegian BLNO in Sunday night's game. Altidor scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 25 minutes. Tromso Storm (10-13) is placed sixth in the BLNO. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Altidor has very impressive stats this year: 19.8ppg, 9.7rpg, 2.8apg and 2.2spg in 23 games.

   #5. Shaquillo Fritz (203-F/C-94, is currently at the American university) managed to help University of Pacific to win against the Pepperdine University (3-3) 79-78 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. The University of Pacific has 3-3 conference record this season. Fritz's total stats this year are: 2.7ppg and 3.2rpg.

   #6. Shaquille Evans (196-F-95, currently plays in NAIA) helped Montreat Anderson College win their game against the Allen University 98-88 in the AAC in Saturday night's game. He scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 27 minutes. This year Evans' total stats are: 2.7ppg and 3.2rpg in 23 games.

   #7. Edriel Martinborough (175-PG, currently plays in NAIA) was not able to help the Evangel University in their game against the Peru State College in the NAIA. He scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team was defeated 86-72 in the NAIA. Martinborough averaged so far 14.7ppg, 4.1rpg and 3.3apg.
